Burnaby Coffee Shops We Love: Local Finds for Coffee, Treats, Work & Meetups

There’s something special about discovering a great local coffee shop—especially one you find yourself wanting to visit again.

Whether we’re looking for a spot to get a little work done, meeting up with friends, or simply craving a really good coffee and treat, Burnaby has some wonderful local finds.

As a small Burnaby business ourselves, we love finding and supporting other local businesses in our community. So instead of another “best coffee shops” list, we’re sharing a few places we’ve actually visited and enjoyed—plus what we like to order when we're there.

Here are a few of our Busybee Local Finds.

☕ Kory’s Coffee — Coffee, Work & Our Favourite Almond Croissant

Kory’s Coffee is one of those neighbourhood finds that makes it easy to settle in with a coffee and stay for a little while.

It's a nice option when we want to get out of our usual workspace, bring along a laptop or notebook, and get a few things done over coffee.

But there’s one thing that keeps us coming back…

🥐 Our pick: the almond croissant.

Coffee + almond croissant + a little productive time? That's a pretty good combination.

Best for: Coffee and a little work time
Busybee pick: Almond croissant 🥐

☕ Fior di Latte — London Fog + Tiramisu

Sometimes a café visit isn't about being productive at all. Sometimes you just want a good drink, something sweet, and a little break from the day.

That's where Fior di Latte comes in.

One of our favourite combinations here is a London Fog paired with tiramisu. It's a simple treat, but definitely one we'd go back for.

Our drink: London Fog
🍰 Our treat: Tiramisu

Best for: Coffee dates, a sweet treat or a relaxed break

🌿 La Forêt — Bring the Group (and Come Hungry!)

La Forêt is a different kind of coffee stop.

This isn't necessarily where we'd head for a quiet afternoon with the laptop—it can get busy! Instead, we'd put this one on the list when you're meeting friends or family and want somewhere you can have coffee and a proper meal.

And while the pastry displays may get plenty of attention, La Forêt offers much more than coffee and pastries.

Our personal favourite?

🍝 The pasta.

It's one of our picks when we want to sit down, have a meal and catch up with a group.

Best for: Group meetups, lunch and catching up
Busybee pick: Pasta 🍝
